Enter the actual pixel dimensions of your image and the resolution you want on paper. PPI describes image pixels per inch. Printer DPI describes ink dots and is a separate specification.

A worked example
A 6,000 × 4,000 pixel image at 300 PPI prints 20 × 13.33 inches, or 50.8 × 33.87 cm.
Assumptions & limitations
Assumes no cropping, borders, or resampling. The selected PPI is a target, not a guarantee of sharpness; focus, compression, subject, and viewing distance also matter.
Common questions
Does changing PPI add detail?
No. Changing the print-resolution metadata alone changes physical dimensions without creating additional image detail.
Can I print larger?
Yes, at a lower PPI or by resampling. Suitability depends on viewing distance and image quality.
